Do you know that your Pastel processes to a PSQL database? It stands for Pervasive SQL.
It is extremely powerful and has amazing capabilities and capacities as long as you respect its rules and have set up your Pastel in a healthy infrastructure.
Did you know that you only see a small slice of your PSQL database through Pastel's reporting even though your Pastel builds this database? I was also surprised, but seeing my raw PSQL database for the first time was a revelation.
I was able to see my ERP database as it really is without any filters. I got some shocks when I realised how some of the basics where not there. For instance many of my customers and suppliers in my database were only loaded with names and a unique number. No contact data or anything. It was actually garbage for anybody but my finance team.
Now with MyBI I see my PSQL database everyday and I monitor and manage my ERP data to grow my business with my entire team. And the best part is, MyBI is automated, so I get accurate results, save time and money. Nice!
Do you know how healthy your PSQL database is? How do you manage it?
