Technology is proving to be a wonderful tool during a time like #lockdown21 . This time forces us to re-think how we do things. Calling a customer or popping into their office is suddenly not possible.
I love how we can redefine our definition of normal. Don't get me wrong, I also find this time very challenging and often wish things can go back to normal (if there is such a word as normal…). But I have decided to embrace the lock down.
When we audit, access to transaction data is key. Gaining access to customer data when they are not at the office is not so easy.
Making use of the telecoms, the internet, cloud storage, data queries, BI and apps gives you the ability to audit and consult remotely.
The biggest pressure that businesses are now facing are financial pressures. As auditors and financial specialists this is the time when our customers will really need us to step up, guide and support them. I just tell myself that our customers have always been there for us during the normal times and we will most definitely return the favour by being there for them now in whatever way we can.
