Do not underestimate the power of visualisation.

Accountants put in significant effort to make sure that accounting records are accurate and up to date. For the rest of the business however, it is not easy to interact with and understand if it is not in a user friendly format. For many years I made the mistake to present dull and non-interactive management accounts. Even though I put in significant effort to prepare the reports for EXCO, shareholders etc., I got very little interest from them. Without their support my job was lonely and often felt like a waste.
